San José Clean Energy’s (SJCE) Peak Rewards Program will pay your business to reduce electricity use during events called between the hours of 4pm-10pm this summer through October. There are 3 event types with a maximum of 6 events per month lasting 2-4 hours each.

Level 1 - $0.50/kWh reduced
Level 2 - $1.00/kWh reduced
Level 3 - $2.00/kWh reduced

Based on your business’s electricity usage data, SJCE will calculate the amount your business reduced from an established usage baseline. The baseline will include usage during non-event days and an adjustment to account for hotter temperatures or other factors on the day of the event. After each event, we will send you an email with your electricity savings (if any) and upcoming payout amount based on the kWh reductions and the incentive level for the event.

SJCE will email or text you before each event. During the event, you can try to reduce your energy use as much as possible and based on your electricity usage data, SJCE will estimate how much you would have used and pay you for your reduced energy use based on the rates above. After each event, we will send you an email with your electricity savings (if any) and upcoming payout amount based on the kWh reductions and the incentive level for the event.

To enroll in the SJCE Peak Rewards Program, please fill out the fields below and acknowledge that you have read the program Terms and Conditions by clicking "I agree"

Participant hereby represents and warrants that (i) it has all necessary authorization to enroll in the Peak Rewards Program or that an authorized representative of Participant is accepting this Agreement on Participant’s behalf; and (ii) that all information provided to SJCE to determine Participant’s eligibility to enroll in the Peak Rewards Program is true and accurate.

Participant acknowledges that enrollment in the Peak Rewards Program is limited and that SJCE, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines enrollment on a first-come-first-served basis.

Participant’s enrollment in the Peak Rewards Program does not obligate Participant to reduce its Electricity Consumption during Peak Events. Participant acknowledges that participation in both the Peak Rewards Program and in efforts to reduce Electricity Consumption during Peak Events is entirely voluntary.

Participant, by clicking “I agree” confirms that they have read the Terms and Conditions below and to fully comply with the terms and conditions until the expiration of the Term (as defined in the Terms and Conditions)
